Thomasville is home to the North Carolina Vietnam Veteran's Memorial and each year hosts one of the southeast's largest Memorial Day Celebrations which includes a parade, military bands, paratroopers, Blackhawk helicopters and a keynote address from a high ranking military official.

The Thomasville festival hosts over 200 arts & craft vendors and includes a children’s area with games, rides and special appearances and three stages of entertainment featuring blues, country, rock ‘n’ roll, and gospel artists.
