Emporium provides space for 63 antiques and collectibles dealers and consignment sales for another 32 dealers whose dealings include a unique blend of antiques, treasures and junk. As for the junk, the old saying fits here, “One man’s trash is another man’s treasure!” Find antique furniture, working refurbished radios from the 1920’s and ‘30’s,clocks, vintage clothing, artwork, collectible books, magazines,and more. Baptist Children’s HomeThey received their first child on Nov. 11, 1885 and became a home to 1,200 orphans by 1910. Thousands of children have grown up there including former New York Yankees World Series pitcher Johnny Allen. Tour their museum and learn of their rich history. Admission is free of charge.

Hughes ParkFacilities are plentiful and adequate for basketball, baseball, softball and skateboarding. Hughes Park hosts youth tournaments year round. Thomasville’s central location in the state and close proximity to interstates 85 and 40 make the “Chair City” an ideal place to hold AAU, USSSA and similar type sports tournaments.

The park includes a 3' mini ramp, 3' quarter pipe, two 5' quarter pipes, a pyramid with a 10' rail, 16" tall flat bar rail, and a 12' kink rail that declines from 28" to 10".

NC Zoological ParkRecognized as one of the nation’s top zoos it is located about 75 miles west of Raleigh in Asheboro, NC Among the most popular exhibits are those that display polar bears, sea lions, river otters, alligators, elephants, gorillas, baboons, rhinoceros, giraffes, and zebras.
